Sono stato all'inaugurazione della Fondazione Merz a Torino. Ancora una Fondazione per l'Arte, ancora più grande e sorprendente. Non si è mai visto un Merz così bello, completo e nel posto giusto. Mi chiedo come i prossimi artisti ospitati riusciranno a riempire questi spazi in un modo altrettanto splendido. Torino (e Rivoli) con tutti i suoi grandi centri museali d'Arte contemporanea e la sua fitta rete di gallerie d'arte e centri alternativi d'incontro artistico e scambio culturale è cresciuta in un modo straordinario. La vera sfida sarà riuscire a mantenere questi livelli qualitativi e sperimentali al tempo stesso
I've been to the opening of the MERZ FOUNDATION in Torino. Another Art foundation, bigger and bigger, even more astonishing. I never saw such a nice Merz, full and in the right place. I would know how the next artists will fulfill these spaces in the same wonderful way. Torino (and Rivoli) with all its Contemporary Art Museums and its deep net of Art galleries and independent centers for art and culture has grown up in an extraordinary way. The great challenge will be to go on with this level of quality and experiment as well.
